Sias Protein Treatment With Milk Protein /Review/

Hey everyone!

Today I'd like to tell you about a hair mask I've been using recently - Sias Protein Treatment With Milk Protein. I received this as a gift from my mother-in-law back in March.

Sias Protein Treatment With Milk Protein

As you can see from the photo above, the packaging is large and looks quite professional. As far as I know, Sias products are considered to be salon products, but when I started to search info about this company today I figured out that they even don't have a website. From its packaging I learned that it's made in Germany. That's all info about the Company.

What company says:  Thanks to the Milk Protein, this Treatment offers the best care for weakened hair. Leaves the hair easy to style and vital. Enhances shine and volume.

Directions: Apply evenly to towel-dried hair, leave for at least 10 minutes and rinse out thoroughly.

Ingredients: Aqua (Deionized Water), Cetearyl Alcohol, Dipalmitoylethyl Hydroxyethylmonium Methosulfate, Ceteareth-20, Hydrolyzed Milk Protein, Panthenol, Parfum (Fragrance), Citric Acid, Magnesium Chloride, Magnesium Nitrate, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Sodium Benzoate, Ethylparaben, Propylparaben, Phenoxyethanol, Methylparaben, Butylparaben.

Price: About $13.33-$16.67 for 33.7 fl. oz. / 1000 ml. As I said earlier, I received this as a gift.

My experience: I'm not very fond of the packaging of Sias Protein Treatment With Milk Protein -a  large jar with a screw-on lid. This type of packaging just doesn't work with the product's texture. The product itself is more like a conditioner, it's to runny for a hair mask, and I think it would be better if it was packaged in a tube or in a bottle (maybe with a pump). You can see the texture of this mask on the photo below.

It has a synthetic floral scent, not very pleasant, but bearable.

I use this once a week after shampooing my hair and I use my regular conditioner after this (I do so with every hair mask). When I apply the mask to the hair it 's kind of absorbed into the hair. Initially I left it on the hair for 10 minutes as recommended on the packaging, then I started to leave it on longer. I even left it on for 30-40 minutes under plastic shower cap wrapped in hot towel - and I have never seen any noticeable effect.

So I started to mix this hair mask with Miracle Protein, or carrier and essential oils, one time I mixed it with my handmade treatment for split ends, but I end up mixing it with one product for split ends that I don't love by itself (it's by Estel Professional and I'll review it soon). This way I can see some results but it's only because of additional components, the mask itself is totally useless for me. *sigh*

Have you ever heard of / tried Sias products? What was your experience?

  1. What a shame it does not work! I have seen those masks at beauty supply stores and thought about purchasing one of them. I'm glad I didn't.
